Waking with a start not sure how long she had been a sleep. Slightly disoriented she looks down at her slender body. She smiles remembering what had happened. Pulling the cape around her sighing contently. Emerald finds her dress and puts it back on. Feeling hungry she decides to go back up to the main house of the dream to see if there is anything up there to eat. Retrieving her shoes from next to the door. Slipping her shoes on and starts to walk up the pea stone walk to the portal to the main house.
Stepping into the bedroom of a main house she removes her shoes and carries her shoes she sets them by the main door of the house. Walking into the kitchen, she looks into the refrigerator and fines some already prepared Japanese dishes. Seeing some foods that look familiar she prepares them to be eaten.
Finishing her breakfast she wonders if she would be able to make a dream. Contemplating the prospect. She cleans up her dishes and puts everything as it was. Slipping her slippers back on she heads out of the dream and back to the small garden above.
Happily Emerald moves swiftly through the garden and onto the road. Getting a idea of a dream in mind, she looks for a gate without a name on it. Finding one she moves in front of the gate and raises her hands slowly as Tholin had. Concentrating on the dream in mind, she conjures up her dream. Emerald opens her eyes to see what happened and to her amazement she sees on the plaque, “This Dream Belongs to Emerald.”
Looking into the garden she sees what she had in vision was there. It is an informal English garden. In the center there is a large sundial. She quickly walks to the cottage in the back it is a cedar shingles house with a arched door and rustic wrought iron hardware in the top half of the door is a arched stained glass window.
Quickly entering the cottage the layout was the same as all the others she had seen only her furniture was like a summer cottage with adirondik chairs in front of a large stone fireplace. The kitchen had a simple wooden table and high back wooden chairs.
In her enthusiasm to check the rest of her dream out she didn’t notice the figure come into the dream behind her. Quickly going down the stairs, she almost stumbles on her dress hem. Catching herself on the stair rail, she thinks she better slow down. Opening the door at the bottom of the stairs she is in a small court yard there is a fountain in the center and high stone castle walls on four sides. The ground is covered in flagstone and there is ivy growing up the walls. There are great double doors over an arched entrance. She moves to the double doors and with some effort pulls the door open.
Stepping inside she walks into a great enter way. The floor is made of marble and the walls are stone covered with tapestries. There are torches on the walls held there by bronze holders. On each side of the room is a large double door and one at the far end there is one also.
Opens the door at the end of the room into banquet hall. There is three long tables parallel to each other and one across the far end of the room. Behind the table is a small wooden door. The tables have beautiful runners on them and the chairs are carved wood with red velvet seats. Hanging from the ceiling is two large chandlers. Turning and leaving that room she goes back to the entry and goes thought the door to the right of the main enhance. It is a stairway leading up.
This stairway is made of flagstone. Carefully she climbs the stairs to the top. Stepping into a hallway there is several doors on each side of the corridor. Candle sconces light the hall. There is a carpet runner down the length of the hall. The walls are dressed stone.
Emerald opens the first door it is a bedroom with a large oak bed on the wall next to the door. Across from the door is a window seat with cathedral style windows above the gold satin cushion. The wall to the right of the door there is a smaller door and a vanity with a stool covered in the same fabric as the window seat. Left wall there is a wardrobe.
Turns to leave this room to go to the next when she catches a glimpse of a shadow out of the corner of her eye. Having a flash back of Rouge Black, she doesn’t know what to do. Adrenaline’s pumping through her like, a scared rabbit she bolts for the door.
Not watching where she was going just the need to get out and back to safety she trips on the edge of the runner. Falling against the other wall she feels pain as she hits the floor and wall hard. Emerald feels a hand touch her arm. Still in a panic she pulls back whimpering, “please don’t hurt me.”
“Emerald are you ok, why would I hurt you, lover,” says a familiar voice.
Shaking she feels a hand lift her chin up. Emerald looks up at the owner of the hand and can’t believe her eye. Tholin is kneeling down next to her smiling warmly with a hint of concern on his face. “Emerald? Are you ok?” Tholin inquires.
Wrapping her arms around him so happy it is he and not Rogue Black, as she had feared. Tholin hugs her back and gently picks her up and carries her back into the bedroom.
Setting her on the bed he carefully removes her arms from around his neck. Again he asked with concern in his voice, “Are you ok?”
She response by nodding her head and saying, “I’m ok you just startled me.” Not totally happy with the answer, but he doesn’t pursue it.
Smiling warmly he moves his hand to the bottom of her dress and starts to move his hands up her legs explaining, “I’m going to check your legs for injuries you fell pretty hard.”
Emerald nods and pulls the bottom of her dress up above her knees. Tholin looks down at her perfectly shaped legs and see she has skinned her left knee in the fall.
Taking his flute out he plays a couple of notes and she feels cold air blow across the injury. Emerald watches as the magic from the flute heals her knee. Embarrassed she says, “thank you, I’m sorry I panicked. It is just earlier yesterday a man tried to . . . and Zephyr said not to come here alone.”
Confused Tholin sits on the bed next to Emerald puts his arm around her and tenderly hugs her. “Tried to do what, Emerald,” Tholin asks. Emerald just closes her eyes and presses close to Tholin.
“He attacked me and he swore he would have me,” Emerald answers.
“Who is this man who attacked you,” asking with controlled anger in his voice?
Emerald tips her face up to see Tholin’s face she answers, “Rogue Black.” Rubbing Emerald’s back softly he tries not to show his anger about what he just hear.
Nuzzling her cheek he asks, “who is Zephyr?”
Closing her eyes feeling comforted by the feel of his face against her cheek responds to his question, “he is a elf I meet when I first arrived. He gave me a tour of Fantasy Realm.”
Tholin nods and smiles at her. “You’re a fast learner,” he states as he looks around the room. “You must have been up all night doing this dream.”
Emerald following his gaze smiles, “not really I just stood in front of the gate and summoned it,” she informs him.
Thinking trying to remember if he had seen this dream before as a pre-made Dream, “ahhh this must be a pre-made dream then. I like it. It reminds me of a English castle.”
Emerald says softly, “it is just like the one I saw in one of my trips to England when I was on my concert tour.”
Tholin kisses her cheek lightly and stands up getting off the bed. “Let me take you back to Sunnyville where you will be safe. I have to slay some sales demons and will be away most of the day,” he explains.
Blushing slightly she says, “ok, but I’ll be ok. Oh how is your daughters tummy?”
Tholin chuckles, “she is fine she just eat to fast.” Offers Emerald his hand and escorts her from the room. Lifting the hem of her dress up she descents the stairs and together they move back through the dream, to the entry garden.
Emerald stops and looks at Tholin curiously asking, “how did you know where I was?”
Tholin smiling explains, “I didn’t exactly know where you were. I knew you were online because I press F3 it gives the list of players that are on line. Since you weren’t at start I thought I would see if you were in the Land of dreams, by pressing F4. There you were, I thought I would surprise you by finding out what dream you were in. I was the one surprised to see my dream still up and you had put a Dream down next to it.”
Emerald laughing at herself, “you
surprise me too.” Giving her a tight hug then a kiss on top
of her head says, “I guess I did, didn’t I.”
Walking side by side back
to Sunnyville Tholin asks her if she knew who Rogue Black was. Shaking
her head no, only that he was the man that had attacked her and if it hadn’t
been for Zephyr he would have raped her. Tholin’s eyes grow dark
with anger he says trying hard not to show it, “he is Queen Martla’s brother.”
Emerald stops and looks at Tholin, feeling a chill go up her spine she responses, “really?” Her handsome Gray elf nods and places his hand behind her back escorting her back to the safety of the ville.
At the edge of the town square Tholin casts @Gate and kisses her lightly, as he steps through back into reality and the on going battle with the sales demons.
Strolling into the Town Square she hears a voice say, “hello Emerald.” Not recognizing the voice, she stops and looks around. The only one in the square other than her is a human sitting on the bench under the oak tree. Dressed in red and black, strapped to his waist is a saber in a scabbard on a leather belt. He is very good-looking he has shoulder length auburn, piercing blue eye. Tall and muscular, he has the build of a swordsman.
Being curious she smiles saying, “hello.”
He stands with a sweeping gesture he bows low at the waist introducing himself, “I’m Lord Feralkindle, but my friends call me often.”
Smiling friendly at the beautiful gray elf. Emerald can’t help but laugh softly at the bad humor. “That was bad, milord” she comments.
“It got your attention didn’t it?” Lord Feralkindle says with a chuckle. He pats the bench. “Please sit milady, I don’t bite,” smiling broadly he says. Emerald walks over and settles down next to this amusing human. Being the foreword person he is Lord Feralkindle puts a hand on her knee. “Are you new around here?” he asks. The beautiful Gray elf looks down at his hand on her knee and smiles at his brashness.
“Bold aren’t you, Lord Feralkindle,” she says with some amusement.
“They don’t call me Wildfire for nothing, beautiful maiden,” says with a sparkle in his eyes.
“Dad! There you are,” exclaims a exhilarated young lady she appears to be in her pre to early teens come running up to Lord Feralkindle. “I’m so glad to see you now we can play,” the girl says with great animation. Grabbing his daughter’s hand, he pulls her towards him and gives her a couple well-placed tickles. This sends the girl into a fit of laughter, screaming with joy, “STOP! I HATE TICKLES!”
Watching on with amusement Emerald laughs softly. His lordship hearing the sweet songbird like laugh of Emerald releases his daughter.
Turns his attention back to the gray elf with a wicked grin he wiggles his fingers as he says, “Ah, my next victim.”
Emerald shrinks back putting her hands out to fend him off, “No, Please Milord,” she says with a smile.
Laughing he hugs his daughter. “This ravishing young creature is my daughter Crimson. Crimson this is Emerald,” Wildfire says.
The girl has auburn hair like her fathers, braid down the back with a bow tied around the bottom of the braid. Wearing a mid-calf burgundy velvet dress with matching velvet slippers. Crimson curtseys to the Gray elf and bows her head showing good breeding, she says respectfully, “greetings milady Emerald.”
Emerald nods recognition to the girl and says, “Glad to meet you, Crimson.”
“Well my darling, what games would you like to play?” Wildfire asks his daughter curiously.
Spying some of her friends she shouts in a most non-lady like manner, “Chip Rosilee, Terry over here!”
Wildfire lowers his head and shakes it, thinking I tried to teach you good manners. Raising his head and smiling as he see the group of children run over to them from the playing field.
The group of children smile and look at Lord Feralkindle as they group around him as if in great expectation. Crimson again speaks up chiming, “play with us dad.”
Sighing for he had someone else he was hoping to play with, glancing at the fair Emerald.
“Okay. What do you want to play? ,” Wildfire says. Turning his attention back to the children standing before him.
One child shouts HIDE AND SEEK another TELL US A STORIES. Crimson says with a matter of fact voice, “Truth or Dare.” All the children seem very pleased with this suggestion.
“Okay, it looks like Truth or Dare it is,” Wildfire says waving his hand to calm the Children enthusiasm. “Who wants to start?” Wildfire queries.
Sitting on the bench between her dad and Emerald, Crimson sits up straight again stating matter of fact, “I’ll go first.” Knowing better than to challenge the other children just sit on the ground in front of her.
Wildfire whispers to Emerald. “She is a bit spoiled.” Emerald just smiles.
Turning sideways she looks at Emerald as her first victim saying, “Emerald, Truth or Dare?” Looking a bit surprised not realizing she was drafted into the game, points to herself.
Crimson and Wildfire both nod. “Truth I guess.” she returns.
Grinning devilishly Crimson clears her throat and asks, “how old are you?” A little relieved at the question Emerald responds, “twenty two.”
The girl seemed almost disappointed at the answer. “Okay it is your turn to ask,” Crimson instructs. Emerald looks at the group and smiles at Wildfire. “Lord Feralkindle True or Dare?”
Mimicking her reaction to being asked the question. Laughing he replies, “Truth.”
Smiling brightly Emerald asks the same question to Wildfire, “how old are you?”
Clearing his throat he reply in a matter of fact tone, “twenty six.”
One of the children speaks up saying, “Prime your old.”
Wildfire looks at the child in incredulity, “keep that up and you won’t be my age.” Then proceeds to laugh at the child’s remark.
The game went on like this for sometime each taking their tune when Wildfire whispers to Emerald, “I wish I could get away from these kids and go somewhere more private with you, but I promised Crimson that I would spend the day with her.”
Emerald thinking she would rather be in the tavern or exploring at this point whispers back, “me too.” To Emerald astonishment she is finding it easier to whispers than before. She is feeling like she is becoming more and more part of this world.
Without warning something happened she feels like she is hit by truck every part of her body is in intense agony. Before she can scream in pain she is pulled out of Fantasy Realm and back to her hospital room.
